#youarealwaysbeautiful

True beauty runs beyond. #youarealwaysbeautiful is a showcase of 5 cancer survivor stories and what beauty means to them. Thru my cancer journey, I struggled with what beauty meant to me after losing my hair due to chemo and also having to undergo a mastectomy. I questioned myself daily what exactly is beauty and if losing my left breast meant i no longer was regarded as 100% feminine (or 100% whole). I realised that beauty actually wasn’t all about the physical aspects of a person but more so about how she handled herself in adversity but still showing off her delicate side.

Everyone’s cancer journey is unique and all the ladies featured above have lost their boob(s) to cancer. But they are strong, confident and beautiful and leading life to the fullest. If you ever did see them on the street, it would never cross your mind that they have had cancer let alone go thru 16 rounds of chemo. These ladies are a huge source of inspiration to me and I do hope they are too to you as well.

In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness month, there will be one story featured each week in October. I hope these stories inspire you in times of need and helps you thru your difficult times. If you do know of anyone who needs cancer support, please also feel free to reach out to us at hello@breatheessentialsco.com. Nobody should journey alone, cancer caregivers included.

Be kind, be humble and be more than you ever thought you could be.

Much Love,
Charlene
